Officers with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office ACE Team arrested and charged two men with trafficking methamphetamine.
While patrolling N.C. 111 South Wednesday evening, deputies conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. During the traffic stop, deputies could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle and searched the two occupants.
Deputies uncovered around 150 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Matthew Edward Raynor, 22, 204 Meadow Road, was charged with one felony count of trafficking methamphetamine, one felony count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one felony count of maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance.
Gary Octavious Willis, 32, 409 S. Vance St., Fremont, was charged with two felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine and one felony count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Raynor was booked in the Wayne County jail under a $50,000 secured bond, and Willis was booked in the Wayne County jail under a $200,000 secured bond.
