Bettie Jean Raiford, 76, 422 W. Seymour Drive, Goldsboro, died Friday at Wayne UNC Health Care.

She was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Wilson County to Nebraska Heath and Eula Mae Mitchell, and is survived by three children.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Darden Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.

The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.

Annette Stevens Stuart, 79, of the Grantham community, passed away on Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Annette was a nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital for over 30 years before retiring. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends on Monday from noon until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stuart is survived by two sons, Bobby Stuart of Asheville and Brian Stuart of Hampstead; five grandchildren, Nikki, Kyle, Cierrah, Annie, and Olivia; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Stevens Fields and Libby Stevens Hooks and husband, Mike; five brothers, Everett, Woodrow, and wife, Sally, Jerry and wife, Joyce, Charles and wife, Freddie, and Wilson and wife, Michelle; a sister-in-law, Janie Stevens; and a brother-in-law, Donald Grice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Stevens and Mary Helen Stevens; a sister, Barbara Stevens; and a brother, David Michael Stevens.

Annie Bell Phelps Turner, 103, of Goldsboro, died Saturday.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Willow Dale Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating.

She was born March 28, 1916, in Ahoskie to the late M.C. and Annie M. White Phelps. She was married to the late Samuel Britton Turner.

The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.
