Mother Corine Edmundson Taylor, 86, 2065 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, died Tuesday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Wilson County to Lillie Mae Edmundson Lewis Tyson and James Evans.
Her life’s devotion, service to God and mankind will be celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. James Disciples of Christ, Fremont, with the Rev. Dr. James Lucas officiating. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in Union Grove Church Cemetery, Fremont.
Mother Taylor leaves a legacy of love for her devoted children, Cora Jean Taylor Graham, Oscar Lee Taylor (Vernestine), Lillie Mae Taylor Ward (Jimmy) and Keith Taylor (Denise); her sisters, Ida Lewis Blackmon, Beatrice Evans Locust (Johnny) and Ernestine Tyson Brennan; her brothers, William Ray Lewis and Russell Evans; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
Mother Taylor will lie in repose Friday from 3 to 8:30 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home. The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Moye’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Farmville. Interment will be in St. Delight Cemetery, Walstonburg.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home chapel, Snow Hill.

Clifton “Sugar Bear” Hardy, 65, 490 Bell Town Road, Dover, died Tuesday at Pruitt Health Care, New Bern.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Deliverance Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. Burial will be in the church cemetery
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at the church.
