Tommy B. Price

June 29, 1935-June 9, 2019

Mr. Tommy Bert Price passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning.

He was the son of the late George and Leola Price, and was married to the late Frances J. Price.

Mr. Tommy will always be remembered as a kind, humble and devout Christian.

He was a proud daddy and granddaddy to his children and grandchildren. His family will always cherish his love for each of them.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Scott Ezzell officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Price is survived by his children, Debbie (Don) Taylor of Goldsboro, Jona (Jimmy) Maynard of Grifton and Neal (Beth) Price of Pikeville; grandchildren, Fran (Luke) Mizeur of Canton, Ohio, Ron (Debra Oschner) Heath of Clayton, John (Janelle) Maynard of Bell Arthur, Shane and Brooks Taylor and Thomas and Tara Price all of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Cooper Mizeur of Canton, Ohio, Dylan Heath of Goldsboro, Dalton Heath, United States Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and Audrey and Ainsley Maynard of Bell Arthur; great-great-grandchildren, Owen Heath of Goldsboro and Tinsley Heath of Greenville; and sisters, Molly Hood and Janet Williamson both of Goldsboro.

A special thank you to the home caregivers, Kathy and Gaynelle, and the special care given by Community Home Care and Hospice.

Jan. 22, 1969-June 10, 2019

Kathy Holt Alfaro, 50, passed away Monday evening surrounded by her family at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She was the daughter of the late Erby and Dolly Mae Holt, and wife of Victor Alfaro.

Mrs. Alfaro had worked for Wayne County Public Schools as a bus driver and assistant lunchroom manager.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Committal services will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Alfaro is survived by her two sons, Victor Alfaro and wife, Nancy, and Rigo Alfaro both of LaGrange; a daughter, Victoria Alfaro of LaGrange; a sister, Lynn Kendall and husband, Doug, of LaGrange; and three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Brianna and Alexus Alfaro.

Priscilla Richardson Black, 61, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Pentecostal Holy Church. Burial will be at Golden Gate Memorial Gardens.

She was born June 28, 1957, in Wayne County to Frank and Louvenia Reid Richardson.

She is survived by her children.

Geraldine Moore, 78, 1664 Lipscomb Road, Apt. C, Wilson, died Saturday at Vidant Medical Center.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Rose Church of Christ, Wilson. Burial will be in Hamilton Gardens.

She was born July 12, 1940, in Lenoir County to Hosea Lee and Annetta Graham Moore.

She is survived by three children.

Visitation will be Friday an hour prior to the service at the church. The family will assemble at home for the funeral.
