Betty Jean Bogue
Died June 7, 2019
Betty Jean Bogue, 89, Fremont, went to be with her Heavenly Father June 7, 2019. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family early Friday morning.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Fremont Free Will Baptist Church, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church fellowship hall from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m.
Betty Jean was a beautiful lady inside and out.
She loved her family, and loved to wait on and cook for everyone. She was an excellent cook and famous for her fried chicken, corn bread, chicken salad, potato salad and her canned pickles.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was a faithful member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She loved her church and church family, and they loved her.
Betty Jean was born in Wayne County to the late Fred Lee Coley and Dolly Cook Coley.
She was preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband of 66 years, Mr. Frank Lee Bogue.
Mrs. Bogue is survived by her children Angie Hare and husband, Donnie, of Wilson, Wanda Mallette and husband, retired Col. Rodney, of Wake Forest, Frank Bogue Jr. and wife, Marie, of Chesapeake, Va., and JoAnn Aldridge of Pink Hill; grandchildren, Joel Hare and wife, Kristen, Brian Hare and wife, Olivia, Shelley Hare and fiancé, Brandon Coffman, Eric Mallette, Dr. Justin Mallette and wife, Lauren, Ella Bogue, Hailey Aldridge and Wesley Aldridge and wife, Jenny; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Parker, Andrew, Calvin and Thomas Hare and Oliver Mallette; sister Bonnie Eatman and husband, Thomas; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bogue was preceded in death by her grandson, Rodney Alton Mallette Jr.; her sisters, Hildred Coley, Dotsie Lancaster and Ethelene Newsome; and brothers Pete, Vincent, Buddy and the Rev. L.B. Coley.

Jerome ‘Jerry’ Bernard Albert
Oct. 17, 1944-June 7, 2019
Jerome “Jerry” Bernard Albert, 74, a resident of Goldsboro, passed away peacefully June 7, 2019, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center after a short battle with cancer.
A Staten Island, N.Y., native, Jerry attended City College in Manhattan, N.Y. He went on to obtain his Ph.D. in child psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign.
What followed was a long and noteworthy career in education, clinical care and private practice.
Jerry was an avid lover of art, travel and animals.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Josalind and Max Albert of Staten Island, N.Y.
He is survived by his son, Sean Huneycutt; daughter-in-law, Alice; and grandson, Henry, all of Goldsboro.
Additionally, he is survived by brothers, Paul Albert of Silver Spring, Md., and Howard Albert of Freehold, N.J., and a sister, Suzette Albert of Staten Island, N.Y.

Billy Ray Adams, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019, at the North Carolina Veterans Home, Kinston.
Billy was born in Johnston County May 10, 1931, to the late David Clarence Adams and Annie May Lynch Adams. He was married for 63 years to the late Beulah L. Adams.
Billy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and later retired as a master sergeant from the North Carolina National Guard.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bobby and Susan Adams.
A graveside service will be held Monday, June 10, 2019, at noon in Wayne Memorial Park.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Cathy Marlow and husband, Jeff, of Rosewood; sons, Bobby Adams and wife, Susan, of Goldsboro and Steve Adams and wife, Michelle, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Fink and husband, Dustin, Carrie Adams, Joshua Johnston, Jonathan Cruse, Bryce Adams and Sarabeth Adams; and great-grandchildren, Marlo Fink, Brody Fink, Bradley Johnston and Gracie Johnston.
He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Adams and wife, Nancy, and sister, Hilda Pittman.

Amalia Maria Gutierrez Ramirez, 89, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Hope Hospice in LeHigh Acres, Fla.
She was born in Havana, Cuba, June 20, 1929.
Amalia was the daughter of the late Juan Gutierrez and Amalia San Juan.
She was the wife of the late Rolando Ramirez, and also preceded in death by her son, Rolando “Rolo” Ramirez, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Amalia was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Goldsboro, N.C.
A Holy Mass for the repose of her soul and burial will be held privately at a later date.
Amalia is survived by her daughters, Angelica “Angie” Sabates of Fort Valley, Va., Maria C. “Nina” Ramirez of St. Louis, Mo., and Maria Sharrow of LeHigh Acres, Fla.; grandchildren, Cindy Davet, Maria Fissori, Christa Gurka, Kristy Rodriquez, Jared Rashford and Darcy Smith; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at L.B.J. Community Center. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
He was born Aug. 24, 1973, in Queens, N.Y., to apostle Lawrence and mother Coretha Williams Bogier.
He is survived by three children.
Visitation will be Tuesday an hour prior to the service. The family will assemble at home for the funeral procession.

She was born Aug. 25, 1947, in Wayne County to Johnny Faison and Mattie Stokes.
She is survived by three children.

Frank Lucas Sr., 88, formerly of LaGrange, died May 30 at Alaris Health Care Center at Cedar Grove, N.J.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Luke AME Church, New Jersey, with pastor Jamal Bryan officiating. Interment will be Thursday in Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Kinston.
He was born in Lenoir County Sept. 9, 1930, to the late Fred and Mahalee Jones Lucas.

He was born in Virginia April 28, 1939, to the late Luther Marvin and Rosie May Kennedy Richardson. He was married to the late Ruby Joyce Richardson.
He is survived by two sons.

He was born in New York May 17, 1933. He was married to Irene Small.
