May 10, 1929-May 19, 2019
Barbara (Bobby) Ruth Fletcher went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
She was the wife of the late Herman Fletcher, and is survived by her son, Michael Fletcher and his wife, Karen; son, Joseph Fletcher and his wife, Christine; daughter, Barbara Graham and her husband, Randy; and son, Jeffrey Fletcher and Monica Somocurcio. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to so many more who deeply loved her.
Bobby was born in Urbana, Ohio, on May 10, 1929. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday, surrounded by her family. Bobby was a very talented quilter and seamstress. She loved to hunt for the perfect fabric and start a new project. She blessed many people with her talents.
Bobby had a special place in her heart for the dogs in her life over the years, and she delighted in the companionship of her last dog, Gizmo.
Bobby lost her mobility and her ability to sew in the last year, but she never lost her sparkle or her sense of humor. She found humor in the simple things. She loved to laugh, and she was so fun to be around, even in her last days.
Her hope and faith was in her Lord Jesus Christ, and we are comforted knowing she is safe in His arms. Her legacy and her impact will live on for generations. Our profound loss is heaven’s gain.
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home with her son, Pastor Joe Fletcher officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Burial will be Friday at noon at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, Md.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to any of the following: Infinity Bible Church, 1326 Morrison Ave., Bronx, N.Y., 10472; Grace Baptist Church, 22 Barden St., Princeton, N.C., 27569; WATCH, ATTN: Karen Webb, 2700 Wayne Memorial Drive, P.O.
