Cooper scores 32, but Chargers drop road contest
Jaden Cooper scored 32 points, while Linwood Grandy chipped in 17 points, but Wayne Country lost to Greenfield 90-72. The Chargers finished the regular season with 15-10 overall record and 5-3 in conference play. Wayne Country Day is the second seed in the CPIC Tournament. The Chargers return action on Thursday against Wayne Christian.

Wayne Country Day traveled to Wilson to take on Greenfield. The Chargers got off to a slow start, but after a few minutes they switched gears and got on track. Led by Jala Holloman, who scored 13 points and dished out eight assists, and Langley Barnes, who added nine points and had three assists, the Chargers cruised to a 56-20 victory. Lexi Jeffrey was the Chargers’ leading scorer with 15 points and eight rebounds.

Jordan Cooper scored 26 points, but the Chargers were unable to beat Greenfield. Tanner Willman finished the game with 10 points. The Chargers (12-4 overall, 6-2) play Friendship Christian on Tuesday in the CPIC Tournament.
