Wayne Country Day rolls over John Paul II, 98-59

Wayne Country Day is charging into the playoffs. The Chargers dominated John Paul II 98-59, and won their fourth straight game. Jaden Cooper was the Chargers leading scorer with 21 points and had five steals, Marcus Metcalf scored 16 points, while Linwood Grandy knocked in 14 points and dished out seven assists. Javon Outlaw grabbed 10 rebounds, and as a team the Chargers drained 16 three-pointers. The Chargers are now 16-9 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

“We played terrific from the start. Defensively we were everywhere, and we shot the ball very well,” said Wayne Country Day head coach David Flowers.

Jack Cole scored 14 points as the Chargers zapped the Saints 70-37. The Chargers improved their record to 12-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
