Goldsboro dominates Beddingfield

Goldsboro beat Beddingfield, 10-0, in five innings on Friday. Josh Hartsfield tossed 13 strikeouts, while Peyton Wilkins and Matthew Lewis each had two hits. Hartsfield, Natorian Nobles, and Lexton Lewis all had one hit.

Eastern Wayne 6, Smithfield-Selma 0

The Warriors snapped a two-game losing streak with 6-0 win against Smithfield-Selma. Ryan Sullivan was 3-3 from the plate with a double and two RBIs, while Drew Barnes had an RBI. Andrew Fricks was 1-4 with an RBI and a double. Fricks also got the win on the mound, he pitched seven innings, threw six strikeouts and gave up three hits.

South Central 8, Southern Wayne 4

Dylan Whitley went 3-4 with one RBI, while Luke Davis also went 3-4 from the plate, but the Saints lost to South Central 8-4.

Langley Barnes scored three goals and Hayden Nielsen dished out three assists, but the Chargers lost a tough, hard-fought game on the road against Rocky Mount Academy. Sophie De Araujo scored one goal, while Lexi Jeffreys had one assist.

Mackenzie Bryan tossed six strikeouts but took the loss on the mound. Abbey Parker was 1-1 with a double and freshman Layla Rackley was 1-2 from the plate.
