Southern Wayne dominates Spring Creek
Southern Wayne dominated Spring Creek 22-0 on Thursday evening. Senior Kelly Dail started off the Saints’ rally with a solo homerun, which was followed a solo home run by senior Dawn Anderson. Dail finished 2-2 on the night with two RBI. Anderson was 2-2 with a home run, a double and three RBI, and got the win on mound throwing six strikeouts. Mackenzie Bryan was 2-3 with a double, a single and two RBI. Freshman Layla Rackley was 3-3 with a triple and two singles, while senior Kayla Raynor was 3-3 with two doubles and a single. Sophomore Abbey Parker was 3-3 with an inside the park home run, a double, and a triple, she was a single awat from the cycle. In her first game, Marylee Heath came in to pinch hit and hit a RBI double.
Eastern Wayne 7, Greene Central 6
Eastern Wayne toppled Greene Central 7-6 on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors scored three run in the second inning to take an early lead, and held on the win the game 7-6. Ryan Sullivan got the win on the mound and went 3-4 at the plate, while Same Rice went 3-4 with two RBI. Wesley Case, Drew Barnes, Willi Uzzell each hit one double, while Andrew Fricks hit a home run The Warriors (1-0) will face Spring Creek on today. First pitch is 5 p.m.
Hunt 6, C.B. Aycock 0
Blake Didla went 2-4 at the pllaye, but the Golden Falcons dropped their season opener against Hunt 6-0.

D.H. Conley 8, Eastern Wayne 1 (Wednesday)
Eastern Wayne dropped its season opener against D.H. Conley 8-1. Dylan March secured the only victory for the Warriors, 6-0, 6-1, in singles play.
“First match of the season and played a solid Conley team. We are young and inexperience at many positions this year,” said Eastern Wayne head coach Joe Dixon. “Players are learning how to play and hope to continue growth with each match and practice.”

The Warriors tied Greene Central 3-3 on Wednesday afternoon. Amanda Gray, Colleen Christie and Lizeth Castaneda Camarena scored Eastern Wayne’s three goals, while Alana Kazar had one assist.

Reagan Waller went 1-2 with a two RBI double, but the Saints dropped a game against Midway 12-7. Georgia Fulghum was 1-2 with a RBI, while Katie Toler reached base all three at bats, and scored two runs. Anna Summerlin pitched for Saints, and tossed five strikeouts.
