Goldsboro 14, Spring Creek 4 (Tuesday)

Josh Hartsfield allowed five, zero walks and threw 11 strikeouts to lead Goldsboro past Spring Creek. Brody Morton went 3-3 from the plate, Peyton Wilkins and Hartsfield went 2-4. Cole McFatter was 2-3, while Cameron Roux, Austin Ruiz and Savion Edwards all had one hit.

Rosewood 15, Neuse Charter 0 (Tuesday)

Tanner Capps had five RBIs and hit two doubles as the Eagles rolled past Neuse Charter in five innings. Will Albert hit a triple, while Logan Price, Will Harris and Connor Wise all finished with two RBIs. Patrick Jones, Logan Merritt, Conner Casey and Ben Peacock all had one RBI in the game. Jones also got the win on the mound by pitching three innings and throwing three strikeouts.

Faith Christian 5, Greenville Christian 4

Cooper Voeller went 2-4 from the plate with a triple and three RBIs as Faith Christian held on to beat Greenville Christian. Daniel Thompson and Cal Reese both had one RBI in the game. Reese also got the win on the mound by pitching four and two-thirds innings and throwing five strikeouts.

Eastern Wayne 6, South Central 0 (Tuesday)

Ryan Sullivan pitched a complete game, gave one hit, zero runs and tossed three strikeouts as the Warriors shutout South Central. Offensively, Eastern Wayne was led by Sam Ric, who was 3-4 from the plate with three doubles and two RBIs. Andrew Fricks and Will Uzzell each had one RBI in the game.

J.H. Rose 7, Southern Wayne 3 (Tuesday)

Cooper Bryan, Josh Raynor and Drew Cox all drove in one run, but the Saints were unable to toppled J.H. Rose.

New Bern 12, C.B. Aycock 3

Austin Booth, Drew Spencer and Clay Matthews all had one RBI, but the Golden Falcons loss to New Bern.

Wayne Country Day 26, John Paul II 1 (Tuesday)

Wayne Country Day scored eight runs in the second inning and 17 runs in the third inning to zap John Paul II. Avery Browning went 1-3 with a home run and three RBIs, while Case Kermode went 3-4 with five RBIs, a double and a triple. D.J. Drew also finished the game with three RBIs. Aoha Godo, Tanner Willman and Cairns Edmondson all had two RBIs. Aaron Ward, Caleb Brewer, Bryce Smith and Bryan Harrison each one RBI apiece.

Southern Wayne 10, New Bern 0 (Tuesday)

Senior Dawn Anderson struck out five Bears and pitched a complete game as the Saints shutout New Bern. The Saints’ defense was stellar and committed zero errors. Offensively, Southern Wayne was led by senior Caroline Summerlin, who was 2-2 with a double, single, and two walks, four RBIs, stole two bases and scored two runs. Anderson finished 2-4 with a double and a single, while senior Mackenzie Bryan was 1-3 with a two-RBI single. Freshman Layla Rackley went 2-4 from the plate with two singles.

Wayne Christian 7, Harrells Christian Academy 1 (Tuesday)

Wayne Christian School’s varsity softball team defeated Harrells Christian Academy 7-1. Brianna Verme pitched a complete game, tossed 10 strikeouts, two walks, gave up one hit. Verme and Abigail Kornegay both hit a triple.

Prep boys’ golf

Wayne Christian School finished second at a five-team match at Hedingham Country Club in Raleigh. The Eagles shot 147 as a team. Darden Bynum shot a 47, Blake Easom finished with a 43, Ben Nassef had a 57 and Adam Grady shot a 60.

Goldsboro 5, Spring Creek 2

Shakia Doctor scored two goals, while Katie Wagner, Mills Hancock and Sierra Stephens all scored one goal Goldsboro took care of business against Spring Creek.

Princeton 8, Lakewood 0 (Tuesday)

Esbeydy Bautista scored three goals, and one assist as the Bulldogs dominated Lakewood. Rachel Creech, Jennifer Rios, Kiana Brewton all scored one goal, while Emma Marques dished out one assist. Veronica Blackman finished the game with two goals and two assists.

Wayne Country Day 10, John Paul II 0 (Tuesday)

Hayden Nielseon scored three goals and had one assist as Wayne Country rolled past John Paul II. Langley Barnes also scored three goals, while Anna Kierski finished with two goals and one assist. Carleigh Grieman scored one goal and one assist, and Macy Floyd scored one goal. Jala Holloman, Hannah McKeithan, Kate Hunter and Ashton Gupton all served out one assist.

Prep JV baseball

C.B. Aycock 8, J.H. Rose 1 (Tuesday)

In the Golden Falcons’ final game of the season, Cohen Waddell pitched four innings and allowed two hits to lead Charles B. Aycock to a victory against J.H. Rose.

Cullen Tucker pitched the final three innings for the save, C.B. Aycock completed the season with a 14-6 overall record and finished 7-3 in conference play record.

The Golden Falcons were led offensively by the “Daily Double” duo of SJ Harris (three hits, two runs) and Chris Crow (two hits, three runs, two RBIs, a triple) at the top of their order. Dennis Daingerfield and Hunter Theriac also drove in two runs apiece.
