Wayne Country Day concluded its spring sports season with an awards ceremony Monday evening.

The Sam Patrick Award winners were Jala Holloman (female) and D.J. Drew (male).

The award honors a life-time athlete at the school.

The Tom Jones Award winners were Kelly Lewis (female) and Sam Dively (male). The Award is presented to student-athletes who display the values associated with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and sportsmanship.

The Headmaster Scholar-Athlete Award winners were Langley Barnes (female) and Charlie Dees (male).

The LGA at Lane Tree Country Club recentley completed its 11th week of play. On the red tees, Nan Jarrell had the game of the week, while Jeanette Sasser and Sue Glover won the low net and low putts repectveily. On the forward tees, Novella Zambelli had the game of the week.

In Tuesday’s play at Walnut Creek Country Club, Hiromi Sueki won low gross. Faye Franklin captured low net and Penny Ritt claimed low putts. Walnut Creek Ladies Golf Association also three winners at the Eastern League contested at Greenville Country club last week. Hiromi Sueki won the first low net in the first flight. Faye Franklin won the second low net in the third flight and Charlotte Campbell won the first low net in the fourth flight.
