Rosewood High had two players in the NCHSAA state championship on Monday and Tuesday. Wyatt Searles shot a two day total of 165 to finish in 12th place, while Tyson Bedford finished with 214. Pinehurst No. 2 played very tough on Monday as 40 mph winds pushed against an extremely long course causing most players turned in higher than usual scores.

“These guys have worked hard and it payed off by allowing them to make it to the state championship and getting a chance to play at Pinehurst. I had a lot of fun coaching the Rosewood team. Most dedicated group I have ever had. Next year will be rebuilding as Tyson Bedford is the only returning player,” Rosewood head coach Rick Smith said.
