Wayne Country Day kicked off the CPIC tournament with a win over Wayne Christian. The Charger’s slow start was fueled by missed shots from all over, with Chargers committing more than 10 turnovers. Although, the Chargers led 27-10 at the halftime. In the third quarter, the Chargers took a commanding lead and finished the game 58-17.
The high point of Thursday’s game was a balanced scoring attack led by Ja’kea Br unson with 16 points, Jala Holloman with 15 points and Lexi Jefferys with 10 points. Katie Strickland added 9 points for the Chargers.
